NEW YORK (AP) — An elderly man has been struck and killed by a private tour bus while crossing a New York City street.
Police say the 73-year-old man was crossing 96th Street on Manhattan's Upper West Side when he was hit around 8:30 p.m. Friday. They say emergency workers pronounced him dead at the scene.
Investigators believe a private tour bus was traveling south on Broadway when it hit the man. They say the bus driver remained on the scene.
Police didn't identify the victim. No charges have been filed.
