BREWSTER, N.Y. (AP) — A New York man is accused of dragging a woman for about 100 feet as she held on to the door of the vehicle he was driving.
New York State Police say the woman was listed in critical condition at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut.
According to the Journal News (http://lohud.us/IUIB82 ), police charged the driver, 24-year-old Daniel Dwyer of Brewster, with felony assault and operating a vehicle with a suspended driver's license.
The incident occurred on Tuesday.
Police say the couple had been arguing earlier in the parking lot of a restaurant on Route 22 in Brewster.
Dwyer was arraigned and jailed on $1,000 bail. Information about his lawyer wasn't immediately available.
