BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a city of Buffalo snow plow driver was drunk behind the wheel of his plow when he hit a building and a taxi cab.
Buffalo police tell local media outlets that 47-year-old James Evans was driving a city plow truck when he hit a building near an intersection around 5 a.m. Sunday. Police say he hit a cab a short time later. The cab driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers say Evans never stopped after hitting the cab. Police found him at his home and charged him with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an injury accident and criminal mischief.
City officials say he has been suspended without pay.
It couldn't be determined if he has a lawyer yet.
