BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Buffalo police are pursuing leads in the city's latest homicide.
The Erie County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed that the death of a woman found early Monday in a burning car was a murder.
Firefighters responding to a car fire around 1:30 a.m. Monday on Buffalo's east side discovered the woman's body in a 2004 Pontiac as they were extinguishing the blaze.
Buffalo police have identified the victim as 30-year-old Desirae James of Buffalo.
