CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) A US Airways flight from Buffalo, N.Y., has been stopped on the taxiway in Charlotte after a threatening note was found.

Charlotte Douglas International Airport officials said the note was found Monday afternoon and the plane landed and was kept away from the terminal. Authorities called the note suspicious, but did not detail what was written. The flight was scheduled to continue to New Orleans.

US Airways spokeswoman Michelle Mohr says 124 passengers were aboard the A319 Airbus when it landed.

She says because of the threat, the plane was taxied to a remote area of the airport and the passengers were taken off the plane.

Flight 2045 was scheduled to land in Charlotte, and Mohr says most of the people on board had connecting flights.

"The vast majority of them were connecting to other destinations," she said.

US Airways is working to make sure passengers get to their destinations, Mohr said.

Airport officials said the investigation wasn't causing problems or delays for other flights in Charlotte.
