NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (AP) — Two additional days of the popular Maid of the Mist boat tours at Niagara Falls are being offered free next week.
Buffalo-area media outlets report that the Maid of the Mist Corp. announced Sunday that it's extend the season with tours scheduled for Friday and Saturday. The tours were originally scheduled to end for the season on Thursday.
But company officials say they're offering the public two days of free rides as a way to thank state and local officials who supported the ongoing construction of the Maid of the Mist's new drydock and maintenance facility.
Friday's boat cruises will be held out of Niagara Falls State Park on the New York site of the border from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
