FULTONVILLE, N.Y. (AP) — Three people from the New York City area are in an upstate jail after being arrested with 115 fake credit cards.
The suspects were stopped for speeding on the New York State Thruway, and when a trooper approached the car he detected a marijuana odor coming from inside. The three occupants were interviewed and gave conflicting stories about who they were and where they were going. That prompted a search of the car, and the credit cards were found hidden in two false bottom drink containers. No marijuana was found.
Arrested Wednesday were 26-year-old Kirschel Butler, and Christopher Gray and Keliesha McCoy, both 23. They were arraigned in Town of Glen Court on 115 counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument and are being held in Montgomery County Jail.
