NEW YORK (AP) — The NYPD says it has retrieved the body of a man from the East River.
Police say they got a 911 call of a body in the water on the Queens side of the river around 10:13 p.m. Monday.
They say the full-clothed body was submerged in the water at 44 Drive. There were signs of trauma.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
Police identified the victim as a 30-year-old male Asian. His name was withheld pending family notification.
