NEW YORK (AP) New York City is offering a fellowship that provides a free, five-month course in Web development.

After training eligible participants, the program will help place them in jobs paying $65,000 or more.

The commissioner for small business services, Robert W. Walsh, said Thursday that tech businesses are among the fastest growing sectors in New York City.

Applications are due on Sept. 18. The classes start next month in Brooklyn.
