SAUGERTIES, N.Y. (AP) A woman who was reported missing from a home in the Hudson River Valley was discovered hours later, trapped in a ravine not far from the house.

Police said the 47-year-old woman had disappeared from a home in Glasco early Friday morning. The Daily Freeman reports (http://bit.ly/15DcePl ) that she was found at around 5:20 p.m.

Firefighters from several departments were able to rescue the woman using a basket and rope system. The rescue effort took about 45 minutes.

Police said the woman was treated at a hospital following her extraction.
