NEW YORK (AP) They're breaking a sweat in New York's Times Square to help raise funds for cancer research.

More than 100 stationary bikes took over the "Crossroads of the World" on Friday.

Instructors from Cycle for Survival were leading four sessions throughout the day.

Organizers say all the proceeds will go for Memorial Sloan-Kettering research into rare forms of cancer.

Cycle for Survival is a national indoor team event that is owned and operated by the hospital.

In the past seven years, the group has raised more than $31 million and funded 85 clinical and research trials.
