HEBRON, N.Y. (AP) A 44-year-old man faces a manslaughter charge after police say he was trying to commit suicide when his car crashed head-on into another vehicle, killing the driver and injuring five other people.

The Glens Falls Post-Star reports (http://bit.ly/18McPRK ) that Ora Roaix of the Washington County town of Granville was charged Thursday in the July 20 crash that killed 43-year-old Lisa Martin of North Adams, Mass. The accident happened on Route 22 in Hebron, about 60 miles northeast of Albany.

A third vehicle was also involved in the crash and a pedestrian was injured.
