EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. (AP) — A Manhattan man has been arrested on a rape charge after police responded to a disturbance at a home in East Hampton, Long Island.
Authorities say 37-year-old Jason Lee was released after posting $20,000 cash bail on Tuesday at East Hampton Justice Court.
Lee was arrested after police responded to a report of a disturbance at his home on Clover Leaf Lane where several people had gathered early Tuesday morning. Police say that while officers were investigating, they learned that a 20-year-old woman was sexually assaulted inside the home.
Lee's lawyer, Brian Desesa, told the Daily News that Lee denies the allegations and looks forward to clearing his name. Lee is due back in court on Sept. 19.
