Now in its third year, Buffalo Saturday Artisan Market takes place on the picturesque boardwalk at Canalside on select days twice per month during the summer and early autumn. The open-air market opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m., and is weather-dependent.
Co-produced by glass artist Julie Leatherbarrow and Robin Lenhard, purveyor of her lovely handmade soaps, the market features live, mostly acoustic music that changes bimonthly. To date, three of the city’s food trucks have enlisted to be onsite to enhance the festive vibes: Betty Crockski, House of Munch and Rolling Joe Café.
Admission to SAM is free. Look for the Canalside market on June 7 and 21, July 5 and 19, Aug. 2 and 9, Sept. 6 and 20, Oct. 4, and 18. Artisans vary throughout the market’s season and approximately 60 are slated to sell their handmade wares at this truly unique shopping venue.
