Q: I heard that the actors from “Nashville” are going out on an actual concert tour. Is that true? – Donna Smith, Sacramento, Calif.

A: Not all of them, but several stars of the ABC series – Charles Esten, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio and Chris Carmack – have banded together to give live performances. Their first engagement was in Chicago at the end of April; this week, they’re slated to appear in Washington, D.C. (today), Philadelphia (Monday) and New York (Tuesday).

The fourth soundtrack album from the series goes on sale the same day as that New York concert, which is therefore a promotional vehicle – for the series, too – as well as a show in and of itself.

Q: Is there any update on Tom Selleck doing any more “Jesse Stone” movies? – Mike Carter, Buffalo

A: We got that update recently from the man himself, and additional dramas about the Robert P. Parker-created character are still very much on Selleck’s mind. He says CBS isn’t interested in continuing them, so it’s a matter of finding an outlet where he can make them to his creative satisfaction for an acceptable budget.
