Say Cheese Pizza Co. will host the Grand Island Fun Fest this weekend at 1771 Love Road.

All weekend long, there will be kids’ amusement rides, live music, food, retail vendors and a beer tent.

The fun begins Friday at 2 p.m. with a car show. Saturday at 1 p.m there will be a display of Camaros and Corvettes from Fuccillo Chevrolet and custom cars from S.C.A.P., followed by a bike night at 5 p.m., featuring a replica of the “Billy Bike” from the movie “Easy Rider.” A free comic book show will be held Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit the Variety Club and William Kaegebein Elementary.

Also this week:

• The Town Board will meet for its regular meeting Monday at 8 p.m. and for workshop meetings Tuesday and Thursday at 8 a.m. All meetings will take place in Town Hall, 2255 Baseline Road.

At Monday’s regular meeting, there will be a public hearing giving residents a chance to comment on Colby Development’s proposal to rezone portions of Grand Island Boulevard and Baseline Road. The rezoning would allow the developer to build a 108-unit senior housing complex.

• Country group Ramblin’ Lou Family Band will play the Summer Band Concert Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Town Commons, 2255 Baseline Road. A rain date is scheduled for Thursday.

• Buffalo magician Paul Antonio will perform Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Grand Island Memorial Library, 1715 Bedell Road. No registration is necessary to attend the free magic show. For more information, call 773-7124.
