A City of Tonawanda man convicted of possession of child pornography has been sentenced to three years in prison and five years of supervised release by U.S. District Court Judge Richard J. Arcara, U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul Jr. announced Tuesday.

Prosecutors said Anthony F. Amato Jr., 40, was found with three videos and 17 images of child pornography on a computer and disks when FBI special agents executed a search warrant at his Delton Street home on Dec. 17, 2007. Amato admitted that he obtained the videos and images over the Internet, prosecutors said.
