The Town Board appointed five part-time public safety dispatchers last week at a rate of $13.15 per hour.
The civilian dispatchers will be working out of the newly-renovated dispatch center in the Police Department. The town decided last year to move to all-civilian dispatchers, in an effort to put more police on the street while providing up-to-date technology for dispatching.
The board also appointed Aqua Tech Environmental to treat Green Lake and Pleasant Acres Pond for algae and plants and to stock various town-owned lakes and ponds with fish.
