FASHION CLASS

A four-week class on Fashion Sketching and Design for Teens will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Fridays, beginning Friday, at Hobby Lobby, 2090 George Urban Blvd., Depew. SANTA SIGHTING

Santa will visit the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum, 180 Thompson St., North Tonawanda, at 11 a.m. Saturday. The day will start with lunch followed by holiday activities from noon to 3 p.m. Cost is $10 with lunch; $5 for activities only. Reservations and prepayment are necessary for lunch; call 693-1885.



WORKSHOPS

Students and faculty at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute will participate in anti-bullying workshops presented by Keith Hawkins, a national youth speaker and leadership consultant, from 8:30 a.m. to noon today. The event, called “The Day of Understanding,” will challenge students to open up about their lives and learn about others.

TREE FOR TROOPS

Last Tuesday, more than 800 students, teachers and staff members from the Ellicottville Central School District, along with some staff from Holiday Valley, met on a hillside at the ski resort to help create a living Tree for Troops.
