AAA Western and Central New York appointed Tae Kim chief operating officer and Jennifer Fincik vice president of finance and chief financial officer. Kim most recently was managing director at Sony Digital Audio Disc Corporation in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minn. He earned his MBA at York University in Toronto and a bachelor’s degree at the University of Toronto. Fincik, a CPA, was chief financial officer for the New Buffalo Shirt Factory in Clarence. She is a Geneseo State College graduate.

Cardiology Group of Western New York appointed Dr. Matthew G. McClure to its practice. McClure is a noninvasive cardiologist specializing in clinical diagnostic cardiology, cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. He is a graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and completed an internal medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.

Ascension Industries appointed Neil Ackerman engineering manager, contract manufacturing services. Ackerman joined the company in 2011 as a senior project manager. Ackerman graduated from the University at Buffalo and is a licensed New York State professional engineer.

Magavern Magavern Grimm named Lisa D. Primerano special counsel and Darice L. Hickey an associate. Primerano is a graduate of Skidmore College and University at Buffalo School of Law. She is a director of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York. Hickey, a University of Virginia graduate, received her law degree from the UB School of Law and a master’s of law in taxation from New York University School of Law.

Parsons Brinckerhoff appointed Garret Meal supervising engineer in its Buffalo office. Meal was chief engineer for Urban Engineers of New York. He is a University at Rochester graduate.

Synacor Inc. appointed Adam Levin and Alexa Myers content publishers. Levin most recently was an assistant editor and research assistant at the University at Buffalo. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Rutgers University and master’s degree from UB. Myers previously worked as a sports production intern for WIVB, Channel 4 News Station. She is a Buffalo State College graduate.

Drescher and Malecki, an accounting alternative that services to the unique needs of municipal and not-for-profit entities, appointed Luke R. Malecki a partner at the Cheektowaga firm. With the firm for nearly nine years, he received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Bentley and his master’s degree from the University of Buffalo.

Crowley Webb, a marketing communications agency in Buffalo, appointed Adina Pera an account coordinator. Pera received a bachelor’s degree from Medaille College. Also, the agency named Shannon Toughey an account executive. Toughey previously was a brand manager at The Martin Group. She graduated from Michigan State University.
