A Town of Tonawanda man pleaded guilty Thursday before State Supreme Court Justice Christopher J. Burns to third-degree grand larceny and third-degree insurance fraud.
Remus M. Nowak, also known as Remus Rose, 42, of Wellington Avenue, admitted to cheating the New York Central Mutual Insurance Co. out of $40,000 on a false lost wages claim. He faces a prison term of up to seven year and court-ordered restitution when he is sentenced Jan. 16.
