Two men have been charged in connection with the lunchtime robbery at a Cheektowaga pizzeria, town police said.
A man entered Macy’s Pizza, at 3348 Genesee St., shortly before noon Thursday and pulled out a knife, ordering the clerk to hand over all of the money, according to Capt. James Speyer. The robber fled down Vegola Avenue with approximately $140.
Several witnesses saw gthe robber get into a vehicle, and the license plate number and description were given to police.
Officers Dennis Kusak, Mark Zimmerman and Michelle Wojtkowiak found the two at an Arthur Musarra Parkway address, said police, who added that the money and a knife were recovered.
Robert Hunter, 18, of Broad Street, who is believed to be robber, and Roy Thompson, 22, the suspected getaway driver, who lives at the address where police found them, were charged each with a felony count of robbery and a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a weapon.
