The former Route 219 bridge over Cattaraugus Creek will be closed several days this week and Monday for inspection.

The South Cascade-Miller Road bridge, as it is now known, is scheduled to close today Thursday and Friday and again from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday.

It is necessary to temporarily close the bridge because of the limited access at the bridge site and the size of the inspection equipment, according to the state Department of Transportation. The remainder of the bridge inspection will be done while the bridge is open, with traffic restricted to a single lane controlled by flaggers.
