The Buffalo Museum of Science will open "The Science of Sports," an interactive exhibit that investigates the science behind Buffalo's favorite sports, on Saturday. The family-friendly exhibit will run through Jan. 6. Cost is $7-$9; free for children under 2. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Sunday with extended hours until 9 p.m. on the final Friday of the month (Oct. 26, Nov. 30 and Dec. 28). The Central Library, Lafayette Square, will be hosting the fourth annual Comics Fest from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 6. As part of the event, a drawing contest is open to artists ages 7 and older. Entries should be no larger than 11 inches by 7 inches. Submissions must include name, age, contact information and a title or description of the artwork.
