A Williamsville man was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated early Friday after a breath test indicated his blood alcohol content level was more than three times the legal limit, Erie County Sheriff's officials said.

At about 2 a.m., a deputy spotted Joshua H. Tschari, 26, of Williamsville allegedly committing several traffic violations on Main Street in Clarence. Officials said Tschari drove across a grass median and drove in circles before eventually stopping.

Tschari was arrested on a DWI charge. It was upgraded to aggravated DWI after the breath test indicated his BAC level was 0.26 percent.

He was released on an appearance ticket.
