Catholic Health and the American Lung Association will sponsor a meeting of the Better Breathers Club for those with chronic lung disease and their families at 11 a.m. today in Appletree Business Park, 2875 Union Road, Cheektowaga. Christa Cutrona, infection control coordinator for Sisters of Charity Hospital, will talk about "Keeping Healthy This Upcoming Flu Season." The club meets each Thursday of the month. Appointments include free screenings for carotid artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral arterial disease, prostate cancer, breast cancer and thyroid cancer. Participants can also check their risk for cardiovascular disease and diabetes with blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose (diabetes) tests and diabetic foot exams.
