An Erie County sheriff's deputy arrested a Des Moines, Ia., man on Grand Island on an aggravated driving while intoxicated charge late Friday night.
Edward G. Milkey, 62, had a blood alcohol content of .18 percent, more than twice the threshhold for drunken driving, according to the Sheriff's Department.
The deputy stopped the Iowa man on Baseline Road, at Huth Road, for following too closely and failing to obey a police officer's order.
Milkey was arrested at 11:52 p.m., taken to the sheriff's Grand Island substation for the breath test, and then taken to the Erie County Holding Center.
