Some of today's Buffalo Navy Week activities include:
. An 11 a.m. wreath-laying ceremony at the Garrison Cemetery, also known as the War of 1812 Cemetery, on Aero Drive in Cheektowaga. The USS Constitution color guard will participate, and U.S. Navy Chaplain Capt. Bruce Boyle will speak at the event.
. General public visitation for all ships will be from noon to 7 p.m. Deck tours of the Brig Niagara will run from 2:30 to 6 p.m.
There is a $6 admission fee for adults; $4 for children 4-12; children younger than 4 are free.
. The Navy Band Great Lakes Show Band will perform at noon at the Central Library on Lafayette Square.
. From noon to 5 p.m., the U.S. Coast Guard will perform replica gun dress drills in 1812 period dress near the Buffalo & Erie County Naval and Military Park.
. USS Constitution sailors will provide 1812 demonstrations at 1, 2:30 and 4 p.m. at the Central Wharf.
. A Navy Band Great Lakes Rock Band concert will take place at 5 p.m. at Canalside.
. Williamsville North High School will host a 7 p.m. commemoration of the War of 1812 with a concert by the Navy Band Great Lakes and U.S. Marine Corps Band New Orleans.
