State police were asking the public's help in finding a burglar who was spotted inside a Newstead residence at about 12:30 p.m. today.
The homeowner had returned to her home on Hiller Road when she spotted burglar who fled and was picked up by a man in a car.
The suspected burglar was described as a black man in his mid-20s, who was about 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10. He was clean cut, with short black hair and was wearing blue pants and a white T-shirt with some kind of logo on it.
The getaway car was described as a four-door sedan, possibly a Subaru Legacy. It was white with blue and had gold New York plates. The driver was described as a black man in his early to mid 20s with short, wavy black hair, and of slim build.
The car was seen headed south on Bill Road.
