Two Oswego State College students who died in the terrorist bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 were remembered when a memorial in the campus library was dedicated to them Tuesday.
Lynne Hartunian and Colleen Brunner, a Town of Boston native, were returning from a Syracuse University-sponsored semester abroad program in December 1988 when the plane exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland.
A display was dedicated to the two communications majors in the college's Penfield Library. A glass-encased brass sculpture depicts a globe circled by a spiral.
One plaque near the sculpture shows the image of a chapel in Lockerbie that serves as a memorial to the bombing victims and the other plaque is inscribed: "There are three things that last: faith, hope and love, and the greatest of those is love."
