The Clarence School Board meeting was filled to capacity for a lively meeting to discuss objections over some of the books being used in some of courses Monday, March 10, 2014. Most were in support of the present curriculum, but there were some who had issues with the present policy for opting out of certain books deemed to be objectionable. Ginger Lahti, wife of a board member, said that she doesn’t object to the policy, but was dissatisfied that her child sat in the library when a suitable alternate book wasn’t found. She wrote the email that first raised the objection.
