Buy News photos |

The US Army Corps of Engineers hosted a public meeting, Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, about the federal Great Lakes-Mississippi River Interbasic Study (GLIMRIS) to outline proposals for keeping Asian carp out of lake Michigan and the Great Lakes. They gave a presentation and then opened the rest of the meeting for public comment, which will be recorded and documented. Lauren Fleer, Interim Project Manager for the US Army Corps of Engineers, gives a summary of the report. She highlights some of the ideas on how to keep the Asian carp out through ANS ( Aquatic Nuisance Systems) Control Technologies. (Sharon Cantillon/Buffalo News)
