Comet ISON comes calling

An undated handout of three composite images shows Comet ISON heading up and away from the sun from Nov. 28 to 29, 2013. If it behaves as expected, the comet will be visible to the naked eye, low in the east-southeast in the pre-dawn sky in early December, then climb northward toward the Little Dipper through the rest of the month (NASA via The New York Times)
