Two women were caught driving drunk in separate incidents Saturday night and early Sunday, the Erie County Sheriff’s department reported Sunday.
In Clarence, Theresa V. Suto, 40, of Cheektowaga, was pulled over after allegedly running a red light at Main Street and Ransom Road shortly before 11:15 p.m. Saturday. Deputies said she had a blood-alcohol content of 0.10 percent, which is more than the legal limit of 0.08 percent. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and traffic infractions.
About six hours later, in Akron Falls Park, sheriff’s deputies arrested Stephanie M. Rogacki, 24, of Attica, after she was spotted driving erratically on Parkview Drive at about 5 a.m. Sunday.
She was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated after a breath test reportedly revealed her blood-alcohol content to be 0.21 percent.
The weekend’s arrests marked the 197th and 198th DWI arrests made by sheriff’s road patrols so far this year.
