LOCKPORT – Niagara County Legislator Paul B. Wojtaszek announced Tuesday he’s making his second run for a State Supreme Court judgeship.

Wojtaszek, R-North Tonawanda, would have been unopposed for another term as a Republican legislator from North Tonawanda, but if he is nominated for State Supreme Court by any political party this September, he would be taken off the ballot for legislator and replaced by another Republican.

Wojtaszek, who has been law clerk to State Supreme Court Justice Russell Buscaglia for 16 years, ran for a judgeship in 2010 but finished sixth in a field of 10 candidates running for five available seats. This year, only one State Supreme Court seat will be filled in the November election.
