SCREENING: The Robert H. Jackson Center will screen the documentary “Liberty Under Law: The Robert H. Jackson Story” at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Chautauqua Cinema, Higgins Memorial Hall, 25 Wythe Ave., on the grounds of Chautauqua Institution. The 90-minute film chronicles the life and legacy of Robert H. Jackson from rural Chautauqua County to President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s inner circle as he became solicitor general, attorney general, U.S. Supreme Court justice and chief U.S. prosecutor at the Nuremberg Trials. The screening is held in conjunction with the Robert H. Jackson Center’s weeklong special studies lecture series at the institution on “The Practice of Justice Jackson’s Art: Talent and Responsibility in Public Communication.”

AFter-hours tour: The Buffalo History Museum will present an after-hours tour at the Richardson Olmsted Complex from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday beginning at the History Museum’s Resource Center, 459 Forest Ave., with a guided tour of the Pan American Exposition exhibit “The Spirit Still Lives.” That will be followed by a 6 p.m. lecture about the history of the Richardson Olmsted Complex and Buffalo in the late 19th century at the former Buffalo State Asylum for the Insane.
