Construction projects will affect traffic on two major area highways in the coming days, the state Department of Transportation announced Friday.
Work continues next week on the Kensington Expressway, Route 33, which is undergoing a number of improvements, including extensive repaving. In addition to daily travel restrictions including lane and ramp closures eastbound and westbound between downtown and the Scajaquada Expressway, the eastbound lanes of the Kensington will be closed to all traffic nightly from approximately 10 p.m. until 6 a.m..
In the Town of Tonawanda, bridge maintenance on the Youngmann Highway will reduce westbound traffic in the vicinity of Colvin Boulevard (Exit 2) to one lane from around 6:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
