So-called progress is now starting to cause more blight

The preservationists of Buffalo have to be commended for many of their efforts in saving the city’s old architecture. On the other hand, many of their efforts are not in the best interests of either cost-effective endeavors, or the buildings are just plain ugly. The Trico building is a prime example of the latter.

But wait, a clone of this ugly structure is now almost completed at the corner of South Forest Road and Main Street in Williamsville. So now, the preservationists can rest easy and the Trico Building can be razed to make room for the Medical Campus. Let progress reign.
