Controversy seems to follow Lil Wayne wherever he goes, but the rapper’s popularity hasn’t suffered a bit from his various bouts with the law and his tendency to land in hot water in the court of public opinion. Revered for his street-tough persona, aggressive, nasal-inflected rhymes and the general gruffness of his post-crunk recordings, Wayne is also renowned for his dynamic stage presence and the arena-rock spectacle of his live performances.

The 2013 edition of the America’s Most Wanted Festival finds Wayne headlining over longtime compatriot T-Pain and relative upstarts G-Easy and Future. The tour stops by Darien Lake Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Tickets range from $59.75 to $119.75 for reserved seating and $29.75 lawn (www.livenation.com, www.ticketmaster.com).
