ROME, N.Y. (AP) — Police have charged a 24-year-old Utica man in the March slaying of a Rome, N.Y., man who was found shot to death at home.
Rome City Police said Wednesday that Derrick Carter is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the March 26th death of 50-year-old Charles Digristine.
A woman visitor found Digristine's body in his home and called 911. Digristine had been shot several times during what police said wasn't a random attack. There were no signs of a fight or forced entry to the home.
Carter was arraigned Tuesday and sent to the Oneida County Jail. It could not immediately be determined if Carter had a lawyer.
