NEW YORK (AP) — A New York City man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for the shooting death of a witness who had testified against him in a robbery case.
District Attorney Richard A. Brown says Shytique Kelly of Far Rockaway, Queens, was sentenced Tuesday. He previously pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
Kelly's girlfriend pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution for driving him to and from the crime scene.
Jazmin Guillebeaux was sentenced to two to six years in prison.
The May 2012 street shooting claimed the life of 21-year-old Tysheen Coakley.
