LOCKPORT – The Niagara Regional Federal Credit Union, located in North Tonawanda, recently presented a $1,000 check to Camp Happiness, operated by Lockport Elks Lodge 41, the Lockport Family YMCA and Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara.
For the past year, funds were raised through member and employee donations and candy sales.
Also, credit union members were allowed to skip a loan payment once a year, with a portion going to Camp Happiness.
It’s a one-week day camp, held at the YMCA’s Camp Kenan on the Lake Ontario shore in Somerset.
The camp is open to residents of Niagara County who have a developmental disability.
