CHAUTAUQUA, N.Y. (AP) — This summer's Chautauqua Institution is getting visits from two U.S. Supreme Court justices over the next eight days.
Justice Anthony Kennedy is set to speak at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the Hall of Philosophy. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is scheduled for 10:45 a.m. on July 29 in the Amphitheater.
The western New York institution says Kennedy last spoke there in 2009. This time, he'll take up the topic "The Pursuit of Happiness."
Ginsburg will speak during a week themed "Crime and Punishment." She'll give a lecture on how the law is portrayed in opera.
Day tickets can are available at the welcome center. The $20 morning passes allow visitors to stay from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Afternoon tickets sell for $13 and allow access from noon to 8 p.m.
