James Francis Mullane, co-owner of Mullane Motors in Lockport, died Wednesday in Niagara Hospice House after a long illness. He was 80.
Born in Niagara Falls, Mr. Mullane graduated from DeSales High School in 1950.
He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1954 with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
He served in the Army from 1954 to 1956.
Mr. Mullane was a partner in Mullane Motors with his twin brother, John.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Lockport, Elks, Moose, Eagles, Lockport Town & Country Club, Clinton Club, Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus, Naples Country Club in Florida, Notre Dame Club of Western New York, University Club, American Legion, Tuscarora Club and several auto dealers associations.
He also enjoyed reading, fishing and golf.
Surviving are his wife, the former Joanne S. “Jody” Sheehan; three sons, James, Robert and John; and four daughters, Caroline Miller, Martha, Julia and Kathryn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. today in St. John the Baptist Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.
