Install life rings at swimming holes

It is irresponsible of the government not to have life rings at known swimming holes. Buffalo Fire Commissioner Garnell Whitfield questioned the feasibility of installing life-saving devices over 15 miles of waterfront. There is no need to do all 15 miles, just the most popular swimming holes.

How much money was spent on trees, pathways, fences and signs? But life rings are not feasible? The fire commissioner said that people do not understand the danger of swimming in posted and unsafe waters. Certainly the commissioner and the government knew the danger.

Install life rings today. Don’t wait for approval, don’t call the lawyers, don’t question who owns the canal, don’t debate it; simply take action and save the next person.
