The Williamsville Board of Education has elected new officers for the 2013-14 school year.

Michael Littman, a business professor at Buffalo State College, was elected board president. He joined the board in 2006 and served as president two years ago.

Patricia Losito, the head of the nursing department at Erie Community College, was elected vice president. She joined the board in 2011.

Mohan Devgun, an engineering technology professor at Buffalo State College, was appointed board parliamentarian. Devgun joined the board in 2010.

• The Amherst Senior Citizens Foundation will recognize two outstanding seniors at its 20th Anniversary Celebration in November.

The nonprofit is now accepting nominations through July 31 for two awards – the Senior Citizens Volunteer Award and the Senior Community Leader Award – to recognize those who work to promote the welfare and vitality of local senior citizens.

• The Williamsville School District will offer transportation for its students to child care services at the Independent Health Family Branch YMCA, 150 Tech Dr., Amherst.

Before- and after-school programs include swimming, gym, help with homework, arts and crafts and character development, YMCA officials said.
