NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) — A Bronx man has pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in a New Jersey car crash that left a woman and her daughter dead.
Emmanuel Garcia also admitted eluding police and leaving the scene of an accident under terms of a plea agreement in which vehicular manslaughter charges will be dismissed. The 29-year-old faces at least 21 years in prison when he's sentenced in September.
Garcia was fleeing from police when his vehicle broadsided another car, killing 83-year-old Dolores Krowicki and her 60-year-old daughter, Karen Larue in East Brunswick in October.
The Star-Ledger of Newark (http://bit.ly/12w2uUI ) reports Garcia sobbed several times as he recounted the accident. He also apologized to the women's relatives.
