Lockport High School will hold its annual Hall of Fame induction Sept. 20 at 6 p.m. at the Lockport Town and Country Club. Tickets are available at the main office of Lockport High School or at Sullivan’s Hair design on East Avenue in Lockport for $30. This year’s inductees include Harvey Mattes (bowling and soccer coach 1968-2002), William Judd (football, basketball, baseball 1934), David Haley (basketball, baseball 1947), Bob Brown (track/cross country 1968), Tim Tolli (track, football 1982), Calvin Shellman (basketball 1994), Charlie Croff (basketball 1998) and Allison Depp (soccer, basketball 2002).
The JAXX softball team of Lackawanna finished second for the second straight year at the Mickey Brennan Memorial Fast Pitch Tournament in Lackawanna. The Pennsylvania Power won the event. The JAXX was led by Jay Surdyke with 13 hits, including nine in a three-game run to the finals, while also adding seven stolen bases. Junior Rodriguez finished the tournament with nine hits.

CAMPS: The Town of Hamburg Recreation Department, in conjunction with the U.S. Sports Institute, will run a multi-sport and a flag football camp Aug. 12-16 at the Town of Hamburg Nike Base for ages 5-12. GOLF: The Sixth St. Joseph School Alumni/Friends Golf Tournament, an 18-hole scramble, will be held Aug. 10 at the Concord Crest Golf Course on Genesee Road in East Concord.
