The Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival has filled the void left by the dissolution of the annual Ozzfest traveling roadshow by assembling a consistently solid lineup of some of the finest proponents of contemporary heavy music under one tent. Mayhem, which comes to Darien Lake Performing Arts Center at 1 p.m. Sunday, is a modern metalhead’s dream come true, with more than a dozen bands supporting the event’s headliner, the garish and ghoulish industrial metal overlord Rob Zombie.

The acts slated for Sunday’s show also include Five Finger Death Punch, Mastodon, Amon Amarth, Machine Head, Job for a Cowboy, Butcher Babies, Battlecross, Children of Bodom, Behemoth, Emmure, Born of Osiris, Motionless In White and the Huntress.

Tickets cost from $45 to $105 for reserved seating, $35 for general admission lawn (www.livenation.com).
