The Erie County Legislature’s Finance and Management Committee will hold its annual midyear budget hearings Monday through next Wednesday ► 7/15-17 ◄ in the Legislature Chambers of Old County Hall, 92 Franklin St.
The hearings will kick off at 9:30 a.m. with a review of the budget for County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz. That will be followed by an overview of the County Attorney’s Office at 10:30 a.m.; the Comptroller’s Office at 11 a.m.; the County Clerk’s Office at 11:30 a.m.; mental health services at 1 p.m.; the Health Department at 1:30 p.m.; and the Department of Social Services at 2:30 p.m.
Tuesday, the committee will take up the budget for the District Attorney’s Office at 9 a.m.; the Sheriff’s Office at 9:30 a.m.; the Probation Department at 10:30 a.m.; Central Police Services at 11 a.m.; the Board of Elections at 1 p.m.; the Parks and Recreation Department at 1:30 p.m.; and senior services at 2:30 p.m.
Wednesday’s scheduled hearings start at 9 a.m., with public works; emergency services at 10 a.m.; environment and planning at 10:30 a.m.; the Division of Information and Support Services at 11 a.m.; purchasing at 11:30 a.m.; equal employment opportunity/minority and women’s business enterprise at noon; the county library system at 1:30 p.m.; and personnel at 2 p.m.
